Transform and Roll Out!
We count down the top five things we're looking forward to in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen!

#5. The Mystery of Jetfire
In our June 2009 ish, we briefly mentioned Jetfire, the curmudgeonly old Decepticon-turned-Autobot who’s been on Earth for quite some time…so long ago, in fact, that his alt mode is an outdated SR-71 spy plane. It turns out that he might have a bigger role, as the just-released toys have confirmed that he can combine with Optimus Prime, giving him better armor and the ability to fly.

#4. Sam’s Creepy Classmate
One of the best things about going to a new school is meeting new classmates, but we’ll advise Sam Witwicky to stay away from a new gal known only as Alice. As a blogger in the LA Times revealed, Isabel’s a little creepy—she’s got a scorpion-like metal tail hidden up her skirt! Turns out she’s a Pretender, a Decepticon spy disguised in organic skin.

#3. Insecticons
Film writers have revealed that a lot of robots will appear in the film—around forty and up! One of the smaller robots that’ll appear will be the Insecticons, Decepticons that look like, well, insects. As a recent clip from the MTV Movie Awards showed, Sam encounters one of these as he and Mikaela hide from some Decepticons.

#2. Devastator Coming Together
Okay, so we knew that a ginormous combining Decepticon was coming, but when the trailers hit, who knew it would be this awesome? Composed of—deep breath, everyone—Scavenger, Long Haul, Hightower, Scrapper, Mixmaster, and Rampage, this jaw-dropping Decepticon walks about on all fours, sucks up Autobots for a living, and climbs pyramids for fun. Woohoo!

#1. The Fallen
Well, he’s in the title, ain’t he? Of course he’s the number one reason we’re jonesing to see Transformers 2! More tidbits of coolness that we weren’t able to sneak into the main ish: he has the power to create space bridges (which explain the teleporting ability you see in the movie trailer), and it was the image of his face, talking through an inter-dimensional window, that inspired the Decepticon logo.
