YOU ARE HERE: Half-Blood Hill
Camp Half-Blood is the training ground of demigods. It’s borders are protected by powerful magic, making it the safest place for half-bloods—no monsters or bad weather could ever get through the camp borders unless summoned by someone from inside.

THE BIG HOUSE
Who you’ll meet: Chiron
What he really is: A centaur and teacher to many demigods and heroes
His disguise: He uses a wheelchair to hide his, er, very horse-y half

THE CABINS
Who you’ll meet: Luke
Who he really is: Demigod son of Hermes, messenger of the gods
Movie spoiler: Hermes, if you can remember your greek mythology right, is also the God of Thieves. Zeus’ lightning bolt was stolen and Percy is the prime suspect. Hmm, do we smell something fishy or did you just take off your sneaks?

DYK?: Hades is the only Olympian god who doesn’t have a cabin at camp; nor does he have a throne in Olympus. Life must be a total bummer when you’re the God of the Dead.

CAMP ACTIVITIES:
∑ Archery—wear green tights to really get into the sport
∑ Sword fighting—make sure you have the right sword size
∑ Chariot racing—watch out for that flying arrow!
∑ Arts & Crafts—basket-weaving, anyone?
∑ Capture the Flag—certified camp fave!

CAMP REQUIREMENTS
Looking to sign up for a summer? There’s just one teeny-tiny condition—you gotta be a half-blood (duh!). Minotaur-fighting not required.

Are you 100% sure both your parents are normal human beings? Don’t start sulking yet! Instead, check out BookPeople’s Camp Half-Blood in Austin, Texas. BookPeople (Texas’ largest independent bookstore) decided to bring Percy’s world to life as a way to keep kids interested in reading. The camp is complete with the trademark orange Camp Half-Blood t-shirt and real camp activities such as phalanx training, lava wall climbing, and archery!
