In K-Zone, pictures are just as important as the words, which is why we try to get the most fun illustrators around. Wanna know what the illustrators of K-Zone are up to when they’re not doing stuff for the magazine? Then check out the Blowing Boxes exhibit at the 1/Of art gallery in Serendra!
This exhibit is interesting — the artists painted a clear plastic box on all four sides and hung it up on a string. So every time the box changes angle or position, you look at the artwork in a different way. Here are some pics I took of the KZ illustrators and their boxes:
Jomike Tejido, Foldabots creator

Marcus Nada, illustrator for My Life 2006

Philip Reytiran, illustrator of Extreme Science (Doc Frankenfurtersteen and Peegor!)

Isa Natividad, illustrator of Guest Star puzzles

Abi Goy, illustrator for the Puzzle Book

Zeus Bascon, illustrator of Guest Star Puzzles

Leo Alvarado, Did You Know? illustrator

Ariel Santillan, Last Laugh jokes illustrator

Blooey Singson, Puzzle Book illustrator

Can you make your own box art too?
