K is for K-Zone, and Komikon 2008! We dropped by the biggest comic book event of the year at the U.P. Bahay ng Alumni last Saturday and met some of the coolest artists in the biz, such as our very own Jomike Tejido of Foldabots fame, our wrestling artist and Pinoy manga legend Taga-Ilog, and everyone’s favorite Bakemono High headmaster Elbert Or!

Comic fans eeeeeverywhere:

Here’s Jomike and the Foldabots Toy Book!

A lot of these artists weren’t just selling their comics, they’d sketch you for super cheap, too.

Alfredo Alcala was a legendary Pinoy comic book artist who worked on both Star Wars and the famous caped crusader, Batman! These were from one of his exhibits:

Get your hats and bunny ears right here!

And last but not least, a little shot with some friends, one of them from GMA QTV…

…and me with one of my fave comic book gals! ;D Does anyone recognize her?

See all you manga and comic lovers at next year’s Komikon! Special thanks to my friend Aleli Roselo for the extra pics.
