The Foldabots: Metallized Series 1 toys are now available at Fresh.Manila (#5 Sgt. Esguerra St., Q.C., near GMA 7). How are these toys different from the regular Foldabots you can find in K-Zone? Well, they’re made of cardboard, they’re pre-assembled, and they come in a nicely metallic sheen.
The first nine Foldabots up for grabs are Karera, Patrol, Astig, Liyab, and Kislap, plus the four Elementrobots — Tutubi, Siklab, Ukay, and Alon & Agos. They come inside identical packages called “blindboxes”, so you never know which Foldabot you’re going to get when you choose a box. (Jomike, however, assures us that you won’t get two of the same kind as long as you choose from the same set.) The first five (Karera to Kislap) come with free parts so you can form Metrotren, while the Elementrobots, of course, can combine into Elementron.
If you’re lucky, you can also find a special transparent Foldabot! It’s a Foldabot in “mirage mode”, and it’s very, very rare.
