Last March 21, Microsoft (the company that owns Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer (R.I.P.), XBOX One, and Minecraft) launched #WeSpeakCode at SM Megamall. #WeSpeakCode is a gnarly campaign that gives the 411 on the importance of coding, computer programming, and computer science. The launch invited kids for a quick computer coding lesson, where they programmed Angry Birds to move from one spot to another while avoiding obstacles. Check out the pics below for some highlights of the event.
Why yes, we did notice the Minecraft-themed tables tables. LOL
Coding is the science behind video games, computer softwares, and apps. It’s what makes the programs (like video games) work, from grabbing loot, casting a spell, and rebooting the security system to avoid being jumpscared by a freak animatronic. So if you wanna learn how to make video games, you know what course and subjects you should take when you hit college!
Chuck Norris approves!
