From lefties to righties: Peter, Young Sky, and Chance of K-Pop hip-hop group One Way.

Two days ago we got to meet Korean hip-hop group One Way. If you watched Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash, they’re the group that “R2J” covered in a lipsynch video. Here’s the song they mimed to:

Now, what’s unique about this group is that they sing and rap (and speak!) in smooth Korean and English, thanks to their international backgrounds. Lead dude Chance was raised in L.A., and, according to Wikipedia, even studied in the super-famous Berklee College of Music — wow! Peter was raised in Sydney, while Young Sky (cool name, eh?) was raised in Sydney, but moved to L.A…where he met Chance.

So we asked them where they felt most at home at.

Chance: “Most of us moved [from Korea] when we were very young. I grew up in Los Angeles — I guess home is where I spent my childhood. And Los Angeles and Sydney for these boys.”
Peter: “Korea has always been our home — we call it the motherland. It’s where our heritage is, and we’re proud to be Koreans, but to be born and raised in Australia — I’m proud to be Aussie and at the same time, proud to be Korean.”

Check out our future issues for more from our interview with One Way!

Hey-o! Everyone check out the trailer for the first Marvel/Disney cartoon—The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes!

Looking good, right? It’s got the classic Avengers line-up: Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, Ant-Man, and Wasp, plus later recruits Black Panther, Black Widow (just a quick shot of her fiddling with her wrist dart things), and Hawkeye. The style kinda reminds me of Transformers: Animated. It’ll be showing in Disney XD in the States this Fall…so maybe next year in the Philippines?

PLEASE!?!?

Cruise around Mountain View, California, and you might just see this bike coasting the streets:

batpodweb

Someone just made a ride-able replica of Batman’s Batpod (from the Dark Knight movie). With wheels that big, it doesn’t look like it could turn very well…but darn if it doesn’t look cool.

WHOA. WHOA. Waittaminute. Did you say that the AWESOMEST fighting game ever has just been announced?

txsf

Yes, it’s true, by golly. It’s the two most popular fighting game series, Tekken and Street Fighter in not one, but two games: Tekken x Street Fighter and Street Fighter x Tekken. Two games, yes, announced last weekend in San Diego Comic Con! One will use the Street Fighter IV 2D style, while the other will use Tekken’s 3D arena style.

We dunno how it will all work out — Tekken’s fighters aren’t known to throw fireballs, which Street Fighter’s dudes use very well — but who cares!? This is officially on our AWESOME list. Get ready to be blown away by the trailer:

That’s okay…he can lift two people at one time, too! Here he is in an interview with that “little midget girl” (Natalie’s words, not mine) talking up Thor!
