Are there Decepticons in Beijing? (According to Revenge of the Fallen…we know that there are Decepticons in Shanghai…) Well, never fear, good citizens of China, Optimus Prime is here to protect you!

Nah, of course it’s not the real Optimus. But it is a giant, 33-foot tall Optimus Prime statue, looming over the Olympic Birds’ Nest Stadium in Beijing. It’s built out of 1,108 car junk parts and a healthy dose of pure awesome.

Great news for HP fans out there! The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park is finally open!

That’s Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and Michael Gambon (Prof. Dumbledore)  with the park’s kiddie visitors (in Gryffindor House colors, of course!).
